　　高志朗（李克勤 饰）是一个高傲自负的律师，加入了新律师行准备大展拳脚。这个律师行有2个资深律师，一个是美丽能干的陈小玲（吴绮莉 饰），和其貌不扬却善良聪明的杨明（谢天华饰）。沈学仪（郭可盈 饰）是一个师爷，她一边上学一边研究案例，准备学成后打官司要回自己的孩子。原来五年前她被丈夫抛弃，儿子也被丈夫带走，从此杳无音讯。她看不惯高志朗只贪图金钱却不顾道德的做事方法，更因为高志朗就是当年导致儿子被判给丈夫的律师，对其冷言冷语嘲讽不已。小玲的恋情告吹后内心寂寞，渐渐被正直的杨明吸引，一次酒后二人发生一夜情。杨明误以为小玲是可怜自己，一直拒绝她的表白。然而在官司里二人的合作无间，小玲在某次案件的结案陈词里借机表达了自己对杨明的真情意。在与沈学仪的相处中，高志朗渐渐被她的关怀、热情与正义感所吸引，决定帮助学仪打官司取回儿子的抚养权。
